Best MMA Glove I’ve Found for UAR Fights
This is my first post for MMA Newcastle and I decided it would be good to look at some of the equipment I use whilst training for Mixed Martial Arts at the Badboy Gym in Felling, Gateshead with my coach Ryan Roddy, Tommy Quinn and my brother Joe Bird.
I first came across the REVGEAR DELUXE Pro glove when my coach Ryan was given a set to try out and I ended up competing in that set in Liverpool at Amatuer Cage Battles event on the 16th April 2016 where I was fighting in a UAR B Class bout against JJ Jones. After Winning the fight in the second round afterwards I considered the glove actually gave me a useful advantage because of the design allowing better freedom of movement than most of the more standard designs available so I decided it would be handy to explain to people why I found this to be the case.
The Revgear Deluxe 7oz mma glove is a great fight and sparring glove , as soon as you put the glove on you can feel the great quality of the premium leather and high quality gel padding, the structure of the glove is unlike any other mma sparring glove , the style resembles a 4oz fight glove but has the extra padding required for UAR Rules with the individual finger compartments allowing you to move freely whilst grappling.
The small structure of the glove provides a snug fit and the glove almost instantly breaks in to fit your hand. The padded thumb of the glove is great to protect your sparring partner, and also prevents the thumb from being broken or dislocated which is a very common problem in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts as the usual protection given by a larger boxing glove just is not there in an MMA glove.
The Unusual design could potentially confuse some referees but it IS 7oz and ticks all the boxes for UAR Rules. Whether its for training or fighting this is one to look for.
