Revgear Air mits – Review
Today i am going to Review the Revgear Air mits aka the Heavy hitters pads
Construction- 100% Leather,More than 3″” of shock dispersing padding ideal for big punchers they use hook and
loop closure for secure fit.
Feel & Fit- These are very comfy pads to have on at first they seem tight around the hands but after you have used a set for a few sessions they mould really nicely to the pad holders hands. Also after a couple of weeks you will be able to feel the air pocket form properly many people think this is the pads material breaking down but it is not.
Price and Value for Money – These sit at £70 and are more expensive than the Pro box & Adidas versions but the quality is alot higher than an extra £20 would suggest personally i would invest the extra score …what is £20 a couple of rounds at the bar you arent going to miss but what you will miss is if you buy a cheap pair then in a couple of months you need a new set of pads.
Would Suit – Anyone who takes big punchers on the pads these are in sense a boxing pad but personally i have no problem taking people on the pads and catching light kicks & knees on them aswel of course you have to trust that the person is controlled and is not going to lump your arms off with a body kick.I think every gym should at least have one set of Air mits in these are a great tool for working power combos while keeping the accuracy.
Conclusion- In conclusion the Revgear “Heavy hitter” Air mits are some of the best air pads on the market and after using them myself for the last year when i take people on the pads i could not recomend anything else i really like the air pocket when catching punches makes it alot less harsh on the pad holders hands.
