Revgear Pro competition boxing gloves – Review
Today i am reviewing the 8,10oz Revgear pro competition boxing gloves these in my opinion are some of the best competition lace up gloves on the market.
Construction- They Use traditional lace up fastening and featuring full high quality leather construction and layered foam padding
Feel & Fit- These are tidy once on and fastened the first thing i notice is the small fitting and how nice they are to make a fist in these are a real punchers glove.
Price and Value for Money – At £70 these are on the lower end of the pro competition gloves with the Ringside gloves being £120 and the Cleto Reyes are £195 but in my opinion these are very similar to the Reyes fit obviously what you are paying for when you buy Reyes is the quality of the leather and the name but i think for a fraction of the price the Revgear can hold there own.
Would Suit – Any Boxing,K1 or Muay Thai professional competitor these are a lovely contest glove and these are a real punchers glove so if you are looking to get some knockouts in your contests these are the gloves for you.i would even wear these to hit bags and pads in a 10 or 8oz depending on your size etc.In my opinion you should always hit pads in a smaller glove because it gives you a true feel for your range and timing the extra weight and padding in say for example a pair of 16oz gloves gives you a false sense of your distance even if it is by maybe an inch or two in competition its all about small details.
Conclusion- In conclusion the Revgear 10oz professional contest glove are the best value for money contest lace up gloves on the market considerably cheaper than the Ringside,Rival & Cleto Reyes contest gloves and normally when you go cheaper you sacrifice a great deal of quality but not in this case these contest gloves have been used on big uk shows like Duel-Grand prix,Victory promotions & various boxing shows around the UK.
